Pokemon Crystal is the enhanced version of Pokemon Gold/Silver. Taking place in the Johto region, Crystal adds new story elements, choice of gender, tweaked encounters, and the ability to easily catch its mascot pokemon Suicune.

Pokemon Green was never released outside of Japan. Interestingly enough, when the games were remade and updated for the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo decided to reference the Green version rather than the Blue, and the new games were released as Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen.
