Gameplay
The game offers the same fundamental gameplay as the classic UNO card game developed by Merle Robbins in the 1970s (now owned by Mattel) in witch your basic goal is to get rid of your cards while preventing other players from so.This XBLA version of UNO can be played in three differente modes of play that include:

Xbox Live Support and Features
UNO has been one of the few XBLA games that has been heavily supported by microsoft to take advantage of newly released hardware of software for the Xbox 360 via game updates. To date, it has support for the Xbox Vision Camera and Avatars, but there all optional as you can still make use of your gamerpic like when the game first launched.Aditional Decks
There are currently three theme decks that can be downloaded, each of which brings new sound effects, rules, and visuals to the game.
- Project Gotham Racing 3 Deck: Features a special Gotham Live Command Card that allows the player to see any of his opponents' hands. It also changes visual assests of cards and background.
- Kameo Deck: Features a special Wizzard Command Card that allows players to switch cards with another player. It also changes visual assests of cards and background.
- 35th Aniversary Deck: Features a special Command Card with the number 35 on it. It also changes visual assests of cards and background.
Future Deck Themes
- Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Deck: Set to be released on December 10, this UNO deck is bound to mix things up with Street Fighter character faces on the cards and possible fire ball effects.
Xbox Live Vision Camera
On September 19th, day when the Xbox Live Vision Camera was released in North America. Uno was amongst the very first games to recieve a update to utilize this devise. During gameplay, the game would use the video captured by the camera instead of displaying the user's gamerpic in multiplayer matches. A host of options were set for security reasons, prompting players to set whether they wanted to allow video feeds from anybody, just friends or to disable this feature completely.
New Xbox Experience
On November 19th 2008, the day when the public got access to the New Xbox Experience. UNO was patched to support avatars. Making them visible in the menus and during gameplay. They also emote during turns, like celebrating when you call "UNO!" or a "Draw 4" card. These features can be turned off in the Options menu.
